Discover looks like a start list now

Finding your next race is cleaner — sports as a proper index with counts, a Majors tab for the World Marathon Majors, plus shortcuts for races that are still open, closing soon, or just added. Same filters in the app and on the public events calendar. No emoji tiles.

Race cards now show what you need to sign up

Tap a race on Discover or podium.bio/events and you'll see the full venue, which distances are on offer, and when registration closes (with a heads-up if it's closing soon). HYROX races also show the day-by-day schedule once the organiser publishes one.

Your PB list is honest now

Odd race distances — a 9.9km that measured short, a one-off trail loop — used to each count as their own "personal best." Podium now recognises them as the distance they really are, so your records page shows your actual bests instead of a wall of technicalities. Distances that genuinely can't be compared (a mile, a relay leg) simply stay out of your PB list.

Pacers get proper credit

Ran a race as an official pacer? Log it as a pacer duty and it's badged across your profile — on the race tile, in your journey, and in its own "Pacing" highlight reel — without ever polluting your PBs or debut stats. Pacing a race is a service to other runners; now it reads that way.

New "Debuts" highlight — and Day One for every sport

Your first-ever attempt at each distance is now kept as a "Debuts" highlight, even long after you've beaten it. And Day One now tells the origin story of every sport you do — pick up HYROX after years of running and both firsts get their moment.

The notification bell behaves like it should

The red number now clears once you've opened your notifications, and only comes back when something genuinely new arrives. Every notification also shows when it happened — "2h", "3d" — and the cards are tighter, with the whole card tappable.

Smarter photo crops, automatically

Race photos used to be cropped dead-centre, which regularly cut runners' heads off in cover banners. Podium now finds the subject in the photo and frames the crop around them the moment you upload — no dragging required (though you still can).

Search now finds your event, not just your name

The search box on the archive used to only match athlete names — searching a race like "Twincity Marathon" would say "no matches" even though the race was right there. Now searching shows matching events alongside athlete results, right in the same box.

Claiming your profile now opens sign-up, not sign-in

Tapping "This is me — claim it" on an unclaimed profile used to drop new athletes on a sign-in screen, asking for a password to an account that didn't exist yet — right under a message telling them to create one. It now opens straight into account creation, so the screen finally matches what it's asking you to do.

Sign in with Apple

You can now sign up or log in to Podium with your Apple ID — one tap, no password to remember. It sits alongside Google and email/password on both the app and podium.bio.

Frame your race photo exactly how you want it

Your achievement page leads with your cover photo — and now you choose which part of it shows. Tap the reposition button on any achievement, drag the photo until it's framed right (your face, the medal, the finish clock), and save. The original stays untouched in your gallery; you're just picking the crop.

Find your next race — the public race calendar

Podium now has a race calendar at podium.bio/events: every upcoming race we index — HYROX, marathons, IRONMAN and more — grouped by month with live countdowns, dates, locations and entry links. Filter by sport, region or country, no account needed. Found yours? Tap "Plan this race" and it goes on your profile with a live countdown — and when you finish, the result joins your permanent record.

Share cards, redesigned — unmistakably Podium

Sharing an achievement now produces a card that mirrors your achievement page: your cover photo, the coral sport tag, your official time in big gold type, PB and podium badges, even your splits. All five card designs — and the race-countdown cards too — now carry the same Podium signature (the wordmark, your podium.bio link, the gold hero stat), so anyone who sees a shared card knows exactly where it came from. Age-group results are labelled properly too ("Age Group 20-29" instead of a bare "20-29").

Smoother sharing and stories in the browser

The share screen no longer jumps around when you switch card designs, and profile highlight stories now stay phone-shaped in any browser window instead of stretching across half your screen.

Your search stays put after you check out a profile

Tapping into someone's results from the archive search, then hitting Back, used to wipe your search — you'd land back on an empty box and have to type it all again. Your search and results now stay exactly where you left them.

Shared links now look like Podium

When you share podium.bio — or your own profile link — in WhatsApp, iMessage, X or anywhere else, the preview card now matches the product: the dark look, your name in the big display type, your sports and stats. Lifetime members get their gold tick right on the share card.

A clearer front page: see what Podium is in five seconds

We rebuilt the landing page around one goal — anyone landing on podium.bio should instantly get it. It now opens with exactly what Podium does (“Every race you’ve ever finished. One profile. Forever.”), shows your scattered race history flowing into one profile, walks through what your profile stores, and demos the best part live: type a name, watch a full athlete profile with real results open, ready to claim. Same dark look — just far less mystery.

Your profile, redesigned like a magazine feature

Your Podium profile got its biggest visual upgrade yet. A full-bleed cover photo up top (pick your own, or we feature your latest race photo), an editorial layout for your PBs and race history, and a cleaner tabbed career view. Your page — and every athlete page — now reads like a feature story about you, not a spreadsheet.

A new front door for Podium

The landing page is now a cinematic, dark, scroll-through story of an athlete’s decade — first 10K to first HYROX — ending where it should: claim your handle. Type your name, see if podium.bio/yourname is free, and it carries straight through sign-up into your new profile.

Getting started is faster

Onboarding was rebuilt from scratch as a few quick steps with a live preview of your profile filling in as you type. Less form, more seeing your page come to life.

Find Your Results, rebuilt around finding you

We rebuilt podium.bio/athletes around one job: finding yourself fast. Search your name and your matching races now group together into one card — instead of a long, unsorted list. Can’t find yourself? Search inside a specific race instead. And claiming now tells you exactly what you’re getting, like "View & claim profile — 4 results," instead of a plain "Claim" button.

Verify your results against the original source

Unclaimed profile pages now link each result back to where it was originally published — hyresult, checkpointspot, and others — so you can double-check a time or ranking against the timing company’s own record before (or after) claiming it as yours.

Race type on Recent Races

Your Recent Races — on your dashboard and your public profile — now show what kind of race it was (Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, HYROX Doubles, and so on) right next to the date, so your race history is clear at a glance.

We’ve added tens of thousands of official race results — HYROX events plus major marathons, half marathons and 10Ks. Browse by event or search your name at podium.bio/athletes, tap a result to preview it, then claim your profile — every result, time and ranking moves straight onto your own Podium page. Already have an account? Claiming adds them to your existing profile, no double entries.

Podium on your home screen

Podium now installs like an app straight from your browser — full screen, its own icon, no app store needed. On your phone, go to Settings → Add to Home Screen and we’ll walk you through it (or just tap the prompt on your Home feed).

Share straight to Instagram, WhatsApp & more

Share cards now open your phone’s real share sheet — post a finish, a PB, or your race-day countdown to Stories in two taps. The countdown card also got a full redesign with classic, plaque, and ledger layouts.

Swipeable photo gallery + cover photo

Race photos now swipe like your camera roll, and you can pick which photo is the cover for each race.

Your data, your call

Export everything you’ve put on Podium as a file, or permanently delete your account — right from Settings. Private details like birth dates are now visible only to you.

Race-day reminders

The app can now notify you as your race day approaches.

Snappier app

The initial load is about 35% lighter, so Podium opens faster everywhere.
